2018 – Kelly Baker

Kelly Baker

1) I wanted to join the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars program because this program promotes diversity within the field of conservation. I want to be able to use my background in activism to build a diverse community that advocates for sustainability but is also present in other social issues. I believe that this program provides a gateway for those that want to change the world in conservation and it is my dream to be apart of that legacy.

2) I see myself wanting to contribute to the global conservation movement, working towards sustainable solutions in third world countries. I want to advocate for those that do not have a voice, to achieve justice for both the environment and people.
