1) I want to be able to connect to the very people and environment that I want to help. DDCSP@NAU enables me to hear and learn about the personal and physical stories that make up the complex conservation story. I want to experience and gain a personal stake in the environmental work that I do.
2) In the future, I want to be a policy advisor to incorporate science, economics, and social consciousness into our regulations and laws. The environmental field is so interdisciplinary, and I want to be able to gain the wide range of understanding necessary to creating effective governmental actions to tackle our biggest environmental issues equitably and inclusively.
