1. Hanging out in the grandeur of the Grand Canyon, and exploring the quiet, resilient life of the Southwest immediately gripped my imagination. I want to experience this region first hand, and meet the resilient animals and people who make a living from this arid, dry landscape. Connecting and working with these dedicated, passionate people will be incredibly rewarding in informing my direction in the field of conservation and life.
2. I would like to increase environmental geo-political communications between the U.S and Mexico. These two nations have incredible biodiversity in its people, landscapes, and wildlife. Finding sensible policies and relations that both can adhere to is critical to moving forth in a warming planet.
